The amazing beauty of Mount Telomoy
The beauty of Mount Telomoyo in the area of Magelang Regency and Semarang Regency is very interesting to visit. For curious visitors who want to ride towards Mount Telomoyo, they can ride a motorcycle. To reach the top, there is an asphalt road infrastructure from the foot to the top of Mount Telomoyo that can be passed by motorbikes.
Mount Telomoyo has an altitude of 1894 masl, slightly higher than Mount Andong which has an altitude of 1726 masl. Mount Telomoyo offers a very beautiful view. From the top of Telomoyo we can see rows of other high mountains such as Mount Lawu, Mount Sumbing, Mount Sindoro and Mount Prau. In addition we can also see the vast lake of Rawa Pening.
If you intend to hunt sunrise or sunset, prepare a jacket because the air will feel cold. The height of Mount Telomoyo is below 2,000 meters above sea level, but its location around the mountains and Mount Merbabu makes the cold air typical of the mountain very pronounced. However, the charm of sunset and sunrise will only be witnessed when the weather is sunny. If it is foggy or cloudy, then views in all directions will be obstructed. Usually sunny weather is more likely to be obtained in the morning.
Mount Telomoyo, located between Mount Merbabu, Ungaran and Andong, is a stratao volcano (cone), but so far it has never erupted. To get to the top of Mount Telomoyo using our motorbike only takes about 15-30 minutes, but if you walk it can take about 2 hours, the peak of Telomoyo is marked by the presence of Telkom stations and paragliding runways.
